We are a Christian-based, non-denominational school established for the purpose of meeting a community’s need for excellent educational opportunities.
Our Christian-based, non-sectarian school was established to provide exceptional early childhood care tailored to the needs of working parents. Children enjoy a playful and nurturing environment, while parents can be confident that their little ones are receiving a high-quality, well-rounded early education that sets them up for future success both in school and in life.
Premier Academy provides a warm and caring environment for infants starting from six weeks old. Our infant classrooms are thoughtfully designed to offer individualized care and safety while creating a stimulating space for early exploration and learning. We use toys and activities tailored to help your baby develop core strength while ensuring they receive the nurturing attention they would at home. As infants progress, they are evaluated based on their developmental milestones, ensuring that toys and activities are always suited to their current stage.
As children transition from infants to toddlers, our dedicated teachers assess their development and adjust classroom activities and lesson plans accordingly. Toddlers are introduced to the Learning Beyond curriculum, laying a solid foundation for their future education. By the time they are ready for preschool, they will have a strong base to enter the Abeka Book program.
Our preschool program builds a strong educational foundation using the Abeka Book curriculum. This phonics program, developed by Pensacola Christian College, helps preschoolers learn each letter and its sounds, as well as number recognition and writing. Daily lessons also cover colors, shapes, calendar skills, and the Pledge of Allegiance. Alongside these academic skills, children engage in daily Bible stories and lessons that foster self-confidence, respect, and responsibility.
In Pre-Kindergarten, students continue with the Abeka Book curriculum, focusing on blending letters to form and read words. They start with short vowels and progress to three-letter words, eventually mastering long-vowel rules and reading simple sentences. Alongside reading, they work on number concepts and simple addition, and explore social studies and science topics. Daily Bible lessons continue to reinforce values and social skills, ensuring that by the end of Pre-K, students are well-prepared for Kindergarten with a solid academic foundation and a lifelong love of learning.
For those seeking education beyond kindergarten, Premier Academy offers private school options, depending on demand. Our elementary teachers guide students through advanced levels of the Abeka Book curriculum and may incorporate additional materials as needed. Students continue to develop core skills in reading, writing, and arithmetic, while also delving into history, science, and health. Alongside academic subjects, they learn memory verses, Bible doctrine, and hymns, ensuring a well-rounded education with a strong Christian foundation.
Premier Academy’s school-age program offers exceptional before and after-school care, as well as support during school breaks. Designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment similar to home, the program includes healthy snacks, a quiet space for homework or reading, and ample opportunities for fun and physical activity. Children enjoy various sporting activities, educational games, and have access to a private computer lab for homework assistance, educational games, and learning about computer use and safety.
Developed by Pensacola Christian College over 30 years ago, the Abeka Book Curriculum is designed to provide quality, Christian-based education from Preschool through 12th grade. This phonics-based curriculum, used in many Christian schools nationwide, offers a detailed scope and sequence for each grade level, making it easy for teachers and parents to track student progress. The teacher-directed approach involves presenting lessons to the class while students complete assignments to reinforce their understanding.
