At AIM Academy, we commit each day to creating a thriving and supportive school community as we relentlessly pursue our passion of preparing your child for success in both life and school through our play-based curriculum.
In the first 12 to 18 months, infants experience rapid growth and learning. At AIM Academy, we understand that quality relationships are essential during this time. Our dedicated teachers use The Creative Curriculum to engage with your infant through warm, nurturing, and attentive interactions that encourage exploration and offer choices. By paying close attention to both nonverbal and verbal cues, our teachers ensure your child’s comfort and address their needs. Throughout the day, they narrate their actions and those of other children, providing descriptive and complex language to support early language development. During transitions, our teachers communicate their intentions in a positive and warm manner, further enriching your child’s language experience.
Toddlers are full of energy and curiosity as they develop language skills and begin to explore their independence. The Creative Curriculum offers essential opportunities to nurture practical skills, language, and social-emotional growth through relationship-focused teaching. Our individualized activities utilize the brain-building Serve and Return model, ensuring responsive and attentive communication from our teachers. These personalized interactions lay a strong foundation for your child’s learning and development, making every moment a chance for discovery and growth.
Two-year-olds thrive on independence when given the chance to explore and do things for themselves. They learn through their actions and choices, enjoy experimenting, and navigate the process of getting messy and cleaning up. As they develop their sense of self, they build friendships, strengthen relationships with their teachers, and enhance their language skills. The Creative Curriculum’s activities provide opportunities and choices that empower children and expand their knowledge, supporting their growth and discovery
Three-year-olds become better at solving problems, discovering inventive solutions, and exploring the “why” behind everything. Our Creative Curriculum approach supports this curiosity by guiding your child’s learning through purposeful play, asking questions, and fostering peer conversations. Our activities are designed to give three-year-olds ample time to tackle challenges and ask meaningful questions, promoting their growth and development. Most importantly, they will have fun throughout the process, often without realizing they are building crucial early reading, math, and social-emotional skills.
At AIM Academy, your four-year-old will further develop their skills and confidence, deepening their knowledge through practice and new experiences. As previously introduced concepts become clearer with continued hands-on learning and repeated practice, our supportive teachers help your child build confidence and thrive as an independent learner. By engaging in active learning, our Pre-K students are well-prepared to enter kindergarten and achieve success.
*To enroll in our Pre-K program, your child must be four years old by September 1st.
AIM Academy provides an exciting and engaging before and after-school program for children in kindergarten through ten years old. We offer complimentary transportation to and from local elementary schools. Additionally, full-day services are available during teacher workdays, school breaks, and certain holidays. Our summer program features a fun-filled full-day camp with weekly field trips to local attractions.
In our after-school program, children can relax, make friends, and enjoy themselves. We offer homework assistance to help them establish good habits and enjoy more free time at home. Our school-aged classroom is designed to cater to their age-appropriate interests, allowing them to explore talents in dramatic arts, music, science, creative expression, reading, and various games.
All AIM Academy locations are proudly licensed by the Child Care Services Division of the Alabama Department of Human Resources. As a licensed center, we must meet rigorous health and safety standards and are subject to periodic unannounced visits by state inspectors. We fully understand our number one responsibility is the safety and security of students and teachers.
